The FLCV's first Lappie picnic and walk for 2012 was held Werribee South Foreshore, on Sunday February 26th.
Given the very hot day (and fact that many Lappie owners were showing interstate that day!) it was a small turnout of Lappie devotees who met up at the beachside park at J D Bellin Reserve (Beach Rd, Werribbee). However, we were pleased to see quite a few new people and their families who were interested in Lappies come to the BBQ, and there was lots of friendly interaction between the dogs, their owners and new admirers.
While it was deemed too warm for the beachside walk, everyone enjoyed sitting or standing in shade, chatting, patting dogs and having a bite of a sausage at the gold coin BBQ. The day was a small fundraiser with the club (with about $30 raised) but was more importantly a great opportunity for Lappie owners to catch up and to give potential owners the chance to have a Lappie cuddle (or two!).
Many thanks to those who came on the day and to the Committee members who organised the event.
Here we capture and record our members adventures with their furry friends.
